Now in its 19th year, the event is the longest-running conference and trade show in the paper and plastics recycling industry.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -Recycling Today magazine has announced that registration is now open for the 2018 Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference. The paper and plastic segments of the recycling industry have been particularly challenged by scrap import policy changes in China. This three-day event on Oct. 17-19 in Chicago will give attendees and speakers an opportunity to come together to share how they are responding to these challenges.
The conference starts Wednesday, Oct. 17, with concurrent sessions at 1:30 p.m. that include a session looking at stabilizers and additives and how they impact plastics reprocessing.
The first day will also feature a to-be-announced keynote session that begins at 4 p.m. For an additional fee, attendees can also attend the session “Deep Dive into China’s Impact.” Representatives from Moore & Associates, Atlanta, will discuss how actions out of China have affected the global recycling market in this can’t-miss session.
Day two will feature an assortment of sessions, including:
On Friday, Oct. 19 – the final day of the conference – attendees will learn about OCC (old corrugated containers) and the future of China’s paper business in the last session of the event.
